Sea Kayaking in Croatia: South of Pula, from the Peninsula Peninsula Stoja Muzil

Here to tell you a beautiful easy route immediately south of Pula , from Peninsula Stoia (Stoja) to Peninsula Musil (Muzil).

It is a journey of about 10 km (9 to be exact), it is good to do in the summer than with the cold.

Here's the path:

We can start from the comfort of parking near the Camping Stoja (in summer it is recommended to arrive early in the morning because after 10.00 cominca to be crowded), a pebble, then loading very easy. From here we continue north to Musil, first passing through a beautiful cove, and then the Cave of Pigeons : dutiful pause here to enter the cave pretty, definitely bring a stack!

From here on, for more than a couple of miles before you extend the beautiful cliffs of Musil: Ensure that the landing sites in case of emergencies are few and the area, as they remember the signs, is militarized, thus not might even go down.

On the Peninsula Musil , in fact, there is the Mary Louise Fort , built in the late nineteenth century Austro-Hungarian Empire. They built many strategic points around Pula, at least 26 forts and gun emplacements (fortunately never used and therefore perfectly preserved), in defense of what was one of the major ports of landlocked war and to defend their territory . Fort Maria Luisa is located immediately south of Pula to 48 meters high and was strongest among the most strategically important. We can see the cliffs along four artillery. Before returning to shoot the bows of our kayaks to the south we see before us the entrance to the port of Pola and near, the Brijuni Islands (Brijuni).

On the way back before returning to base camp we circumnavigate the Peninsula Stoia (Stoja), where in 1884 there was another Fortezza to defend the port of entry south of Pula, now there is a campsite, the Camping Stoja precisely.

After the end our paddling around the island!
